The ten-day AI commercial: what happens on each day
The short answer
Most AI commercials at Velrun are delivered in ten days. Day one is the brief, day two is research, boards are approved on day three, production runs from day four to day nine, and the master plus cutdowns arrive on day ten. Films take longer and are quoted on their own.

Day 1: the brief
You send the product or the story, where the film will run, when you need it and a budget band. One call or one document is enough. By the end of the day we know the format, the length and the number of cutdowns, and you have a scoped quote.
Day 2: research
Your market, your competitors and what your buyers already respond to. We pull the ads that perform in your category, note what they share, and decide what the film has to do in its first three seconds. This is the same research that runs seven-figure monthly ad accounts.
Day 3: boards you approve
The script and every shot are drawn as a storyboard: framing, movement, what the product does, where the line lands. You approve the boards before anything is generated. Changes at this stage are free and fast; changes after generation are not, which is why we insist on the boards.
Days 4 to 9: production
Generation, direction and edit. Characters, the product and the brand language are pinned before the first shot so that shot one and shot forty match. We generate more than we need, pick the takes, cut, grade and mix. You see a first cut around day seven and give one round of notes.
Day 10: delivery
The master film plus the cutdowns your channels need, in the ratio you asked for. Files, not links, and you own them once the final payment clears.
What makes it take longer
Several languages, several products, or a narrative short film. A trailer or a short runs two to four weeks and we say so in the quote before we start.
Questions
Can it be faster?
A single cutdown from an existing film can ship in days. A new commercial rarely beats ten days without cutting the research or the boards, and both are what make it work.
What do you need from me?
The brief on day one, board approval on day three and one round of notes on the first cut. About two hours of your time in total.
Do revisions add days?
Board changes do not. On the finished film, two rounds are included and each adds a day or two; anything beyond that is quoted first.
